Jason Schellenberg

About
Jason entered the appraisal field in 2007 and has specialized in commercial, agricultural, and residential appraisal work since that time. Prior to joining Red River Group, Jason spent 11 years working for Penner Farm Services in various roles including operations and information technology. He currently serves as a member of the Red River Group Board.
In 2012 Jason was elected to serve as a member of Provincial Council for the Appraisal Institute of Canada – Manitoba Association (AIC-MB). He has served in various roles on Provincial Council including as President from 2018-2020 and currently serves as Past-President and Chair of the Nominations Committee. Jason also sits on the AIC National Work Product Review committee and mentors five AIC Candidate Members.

Jason works primarily with point-in-time commercial appraisals across the Province including rural marketplaces, and performs appraisals for financial institutions, corporations and individuals for financing, financial reporting, litigation support, and insurance. He has performed work throughout Manitoba including Winnipeg, Steinbach, Winkler/Morden, Portage la Prairie, Brandon, Neepawa, Dauphin, Thompson, and many points in between. Properties that Jason has worked with include office buildings, retail stores and shopping malls, industrial properties, retail fuel stations, agricultural properties, automotive and agricultural dealerships, riding arenas, grocery stores, hotels & beverage rooms, as well as single and multi-family apartment and condominium properties. Jason also specializes in insurance replacement cost appraisals for churches and other commercial properties, as well as appraisals for the purposes of construction, renovation, marketing, succession planning, family separation, and fire loss. In addition, Jason has served as an expert witness before the Ontario and Manitoba courts.
